Introduction

This document describes how personal and non-personal information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed when using the FileManager724 app (hereinafter "the app", "we", "us"). By installing and using the app, you agree to the terms of this policy.

Permissions / Access

For proper operation, the app may request one or more of the following permissions. These permissions are used only to provide the specific required functions:

• Storage (files): Read and write files to manage, view, edit, or delete files and folders on the device.
• Network / Internet access: Access network features for cloud storage, FTP, SMB, or other remote file operations.
• View network / Wi-Fi connections: Detect whether an internet connection is available for remote features.
• Foreground/background services: Run background services for continuous operations such as file transfers.
• Root access (optional): For advanced file management on rooted devices.
• Storage Access Framework (SAF): To access restricted folders such as Android/data on newer Android versions.

All permissions are used only to provide app functionality and data is stored locally on the device unless you actively enable syncing or crash reporting.

Installed apps & App Manager

What we access
When you open the App Manager section, the app reads the list of installed packages (installed apps) on your device in order to display them.

Why this access is required
This access is necessary to provide the App Manager feature, which allows you to select an installed app and perform user-initiated actions such as uninstalling the app, opening its Google Play page, viewing app details (package name, version, size), or sharing its link or APK file (if supported).

How the information is used

• The list of installed apps is used only locally on your device to populate the App Manager interface and enable the actions you request.
• The app list is not uploaded, shared, or transmitted to our servers or to any third party.
• Any operation that interacts with other apps (for example, opening Google Play or starting an uninstall) occurs only after your explicit action.

Retention and logs

We do not collect or store any copy of your installed apps list.

Control and opt-out

• If you do not want the App Manager to read your installed apps list, simply do not open the App Manager section.
• To completely remove the app’s ability to access installed packages, uninstall the app.

Personal Data

By default the app does not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, user ID, etc.), except in the following cases:

• When you voluntarily provide an email or contact information to submit a crash report or request support.
• If you voluntarily provide information for sync/cloud services (for example signing into a personal account to store backups).

Usage Data

The app does not, by default, collect or send usage data to a server. If analytics/advertising features are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated.

Crash Reports

If enabled or manually submitted, crash reports may include technical logs that typically do not contain personal information but may include your email address or username if you include them. These reports are used only to diagnose and fix issues.

Third-Party Service Providers

The app may use third-party libraries or services that have their own privacy policies.
Important note: the app may use Google AdMob for advertising if enabled. AdMob may collect and process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, and technical data to deliver relevant ads. Processing and transfer of such data is governed by Google's/AdMob's privacy policies and may involve international transfers. International Data Transfers

If data is transferred to external servers, it may be located outside your country. If you voluntarily send data to servers (for example crash reports or cloud sync), those servers may be located outside your country. By submitting data you consent to such transfers.

Data Retention

• Local data (files, settings, backups) will remain on the device until you delete them.
• Crash reports and support information will be retained only as long as necessary to diagnose and fix the issue, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure; however no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure. Users are responsible for the security of their device and sync accounts.

Children

The app is intended for general use and is not suitable for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from young children. If you believe we have collected data from a child without parental consent, please contact us to request deletion.

Links to Third-Party Sites or Services

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or policies of those sites or services and accept no responsibility for them. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services before using them.

Disclaimer

1. "As-is" status: The app and all content provided through it are offered without any express or implied warranties. We make no warranties regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuity of service, accuracy of information, or that the app is free from malware, viruses, or other harmful components. The app is provided "as-is" and "as-available" and you use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability: Under no circumstances will the developer, owners, employees, agents, affiliates, contributors, or distributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including (but not limited to) loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, legal costs, or any other financial or non-financial loss arising from installation, use, misuse, or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. You acknowledge that file operations may result in data loss, corruption, or unintended changes and you assume full responsibility for such outcomes.
4. Legal limitations: Some jurisdictions may limit or prohibit exclusion or limitation of warranties or liability; in such cases liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this disclaimer affects legal rights that you cannot contractually alter or waive.
5. Indemnification: If your use of the app results in any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense against us (including but not limited to due to your breach of this policy, misuse of the app, infringement of intellectual property rights, or any negligent or intentional act), you agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from any costs, damages, settlements, judgments and defense expenses, including reasonable attorney fees.
6. No guarantee of security or performance: We do not guarantee the app will meet your specific needs, operate without interruption, be secure, be error-free, or be compatible with all devices and software. Any reliance on app performance or output is at your own risk.
7. Open-source nature: As an open-source app, the app may be modified by third parties. We disclaim responsibility for modifications, forks, or derivatives of the app not directly provided by us. Users should verify the source and integrity of any downloaded version.
8. Force majeure: We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war, terrorism, riots, sanctions, fire, flood, accidents, strikes, and energy shortages.
