This Privacy Policy explains what information
the Calendar724 application (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how this
information is used, with whom it may be shared, the legal basis for processing
(where applicable), the data retention period, users’ rights, and how to contact
us regarding privacy matters.
By using the App, you accept the practices described in this policy.
The App is designed with privacy as a core principle and does not collect unnecessary data. Your calendar events and related data remain on your device unless you choose to sync with third-party services.
Calendar724 is a modified version of the
open-source Fossify Calendar application (previously known as Simple Calendar),
released under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3) or later. We
have made modifications to the source code to improve features and usability.
In compliance with GPL terms, the source code for Calendar724 is freely
available at:
https://www.android724.com/appsPublic/Calendar724/Calendar724.zip
You are free to view, modify, and distribute the code under the same GPL license terms.
The App accesses the following categories of information for the purposes below:
Calendar Access: Read and
write calendar data on your device to create, edit, and manage events,
reminders, and schedules.
Purpose: Core app
functionality.
Notifications: Access to
display reminder and alert notifications.
Purpose: Provide timely
reminders according to your settings.
Storage / Files: Access
to storage for importing/exporting calendar data (e.g., ICS files) or saving
backups.
Purpose: Manage and
transfer calendar data.
Contacts (Optional): If
you enable syncing or importing from contacts, permission to read contacts
is used to add birthdays or anniversaries.
Purpose: Optional
integration for event creation.
No Location Access: The App does not collect location data.
No Microphone or Camera Access: These are not used.
The App does not collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP addresses, or technical data for tracking or external analytics, except in cases related to advertising or third-party services you enable. All calendar data processing occurs locally on the device.
If you enable syncing with third-party services (such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Nextcloud, or Exchange), data may be transmitted to those services. This is completely optional and under your control; please refer to the privacy policies of those services for more details.
We use collected data for the following purposes:
Provide and operate the App’s core functionality (event management, reminders, and views).
Enable user-selected optional features (syncing, data import, custom themes, widgets).
Diagnose and fix technical issues locally.
Display in-app advertisements through Google AdMob (anonymous data may be processed by Google for ad targeting).
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or other regions with data protection laws:
Your consent (for syncing or access to contacts).
Contractual necessity (to provide the App’s features).
Legitimate interests (such as app functionality and security).
We do not sell or share your personal information except in the following cases:
If you enable syncing, data is shared with your selected services (e.g., Google or Microsoft).
Sharing of non-personal, anonymous data with Google AdMob to deliver ads.
When required by law or for security reasons.
Calendar data is stored on your device until you delete it. Backups remain as long as you keep them. We do not store any data on our servers.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data on your device, but no security method is completely foolproof. You are responsible for securing your device and synced accounts.
This App is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you become aware of a child providing data without parental consent, please inform us so that the data can be deleted.
The App may integrate with third-party calendar services and advertising services (such as Google AdMob) which are subject to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
Right to access data
Right to correct inaccurate data
Right to delete data
Right to restrict or object to processing
Right to receive a portable copy of your data
Right to opt out of data sale or sharing (in jurisdictions where such rights exist)
Right to withdraw consent
To exercise these rights, contact us at: support@android724.com
We provide accurate information regarding the types of data collected and how it is used in the Google Play Data Safety form and keep the privacy policy link publicly accessible.
This App and all information, content, and services provided through it are offered “as is” and “as available,” without any express or implied warranties. Android724 disclaims all warranties and liabilities, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, continuous availability, error-free operation, complete security, or freedom from malware.
By installing or using the App, you agree
that Android724, its developers, staff, partners, and distributors shall have no
liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or
punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, goodwill,
